Day 033: Toroweep, Grand Canyon

This piece was my attempt to capture the sharp drop and bold colors at Toroweep. The composition is simple, but there is something about the vertical walls and the blue ribbon of the river that still feels striking to me. I remember being focused on the shapes more than the technique, just trying to express the canyon’s structure and distance. Art does not always need to be polished to be meaningful. Sometimes a piece stands out because it holds a moment, and this one still does for me.
