Date: 2021-9 This was one of my early experiments with foreground rhythm, the treeline, and distant peaks. The forms are simple and the structure is still developing, but the emotional read feels right to me. There is a calm familiarity here, an iconic Teton view reduced to color, shape, and memory rather than detail. Sometimes a painting works not because of complexity, but because it quietly recalls a place we already carry with us.
