Day 093: Trip to Colorado

This soft pastel comes from a photograph taken years ago, on a Colorado trip with my best friend. We drove there in my old Oldsmobile, young enough to think the road would never end.
What stays with me is not the destination, but the feeling of the mountains rising quietly while everything else felt wide open and possible.
