Color is my language and pastels are my pen

I liked the way the mountains came out in this one — the depth feels right. The flowers, though, were too big and too evenly spaced. I also learned that not everything in the scene has to make it into the frame. This was my final piece done only in pencils. From here, I moved to soft and oil pastels and started to feel more freedom in color and movement.
