This piece was a practice study from an art book I bought early in my journey. Even though I have always tried to avoid copying any single artist, I knew I needed to understand how my chosen medium behaved. Soft pastels demanded a different approach than pencils, and this study helped me learn how they respond to pressure, layering, and light.

Looking back, this work feels simple, yet it marks a moment when I began to explore technique instead of only intuition. Every experiment like this helped me move closer to the voice I use today.
